The very first Warm Lambourn session took place at The Lambourn Centre and it was a wonderful start to this new community project. Warm Lambourn is an initiative launched by Fran Woodcock to bring people together in a cosy and welcoming space to chat, share skills and enjoy each other’s company whilst knitting articles to keep people warm.

The room was full of smiles, conversation and creativity, with plenty of cake to keep everyone going. Fran, who organised the event, said how delighted she was with the turnout. She thanked everyone who came along, brought delicious cakes, donated yarn, shared their skills and showed off the beautiful things they have been making for the community. One participant summed up the mood perfectly, saying, “What a fab morning. Thank you for organising it, Fran, already looking forward to the next one.”

It was fantastic to see so many people coming together to launch this project and we are especially grateful to Everyone Active, who manage The Lambourn Centre, for their kind support in making it possible.

Warm Lambourn is open to everyone and we would love to welcome you to future sessions. If you would like to join in, please email warmlambourn@lambournjunction.uk

Thank you for the support from:
