- Play Streets for Lambourn
A project based on successful implementations in other towns whereby a residential street is closed to traffic for a few hours a week to allow children to play. The initiative not only provides a great play area directly outside of the homes of the children but also encourages children and adults to meet in a ‘street party’ atmosphere. - The Lambourn Audio Guide
This is an initiative which aims to make the history of the village more accessible to residents and visitors alike. The concept is simple: short audio commentaries, free of charge, which can be accessed by visitors using their mobile phones as they view the building or object. - Cardboard Recycling
Would Lambourn benefit from more recycling facilities including a cardboard recycling bank? - A regular Car Boot Sale
Many things are thrown away which may have a perfectly good and new life in another setting. A regular car boot sale with minimal cost of entry may be the way unwanted items find a new lease of life rather than being thrown away. - Community Table Top Recycling
Rather than throwing things which are still useful away we are considering setting days where residents place items on a table outside their house and anyone who likes what they see can take it. The concept encourages a second life for objects and creates a sense of community.
