The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company, in collaboration with Berkshire Youth has launched a youth club for Lambourn. The Lambourn Youth Junction creates a safe environment where young people between the ages 9 and 14 can socialise, participate in activities, and learn new skills all under the guidance of professional youth workers and a team of trained local volunteers, integral to delivery.

Anna Field, the founder of the Youth Junction and a Director or the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company said, “There are so few facilities were young people can meet up in Lambourn and the Youth Junction has proven in the first two weeks of operation that there is a real need and demand for young people to have a safe space to be themselves.”

The Youth Junction attracted 40 young people for the first and 60 for the second meeting. “That’s a clear sign that young people in Lambourn wanted to socialise without having to travel outside of the village.” said Anna “we need to stock up the Tuck shop – it was lovely to see it cleared out on day one!”

They Youth Junction Meets every week at 6:30pm at the British Legion in Lambourn. Registration is essential since parental permission is required. To register go to www.tinyurl.com/lyj-signup or call 07749 844 600

The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company would like to thank Berkshire Youth and all the organisations and individuals who have worked tirelessly to make this such a success.  This is a great example of community collaboration.
