We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Vine and Craven Hunt and their supporters for their generous donations of groceries and toiletries to the Lambourn Food Junction. As the cold sets in, more families in Lambourn and the Valley of the Racehorse require a helping hand, and these contributions will significantly help those facing challenging times.
The Lambourn Junction Food Bank is a community-led initiative that supports individuals in need with food and essential supplies. Operated by The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit community initiative, the Food Bank functions as a drop-in, needs-led hub, offering food, household items, and toiletries. We do not means test or judge; we simply distribute food and toiletries to those who need assistance.
Our Food Bank is located in the blue portacabin in the public car park on High Street, Lambourn (behind Lambourn Universal Stores), and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:00. Donations can be made by leaving groceries in the basket at the Lambourn Co-op store on High Street or by bringing them directly to the Food Junction during opening times.
If you would like to know more about the work of the Lambourn Junction Food Bank, need help, or wish to donate, please get in touch by calling Julie on 07840 780345. Deliveries are available for clients who are housebound.
Once again, thank you to The Vine and Craven Hunt and their supporters for their kindness and generosity.
Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy New Year.
