This week, members of The Lambourn Shed joined forces with residents and volunteers from The Lambourn Almshouses for a cheerful Autumn Clean. Armed with brushes, rakes, and plenty of enthusiasm, the team set about sweeping paths, wiping down woodwork, washing floors, and clearing away the dust and leaves that had gathered over the summer months.
By the end of the morning, the almshouse courtyard looked transformed – bright, tidy, and ready for the winter ahead. It was a wonderful example of community spirit in action, with neighbours working side by side to care for one of Lambourn’s most historic and cherished places.
Of course, no Shed gathering would be complete without a well-earned break, and once again Sharon provided a delicious spread of tea and cakes to keep everyone smiling. A big thank you to all who took part for helping to keep the almshouses looking their very best.
