The Newbury Road,bus stop in Lambourn is right on the busy road and had overgrown so much that passengers were forced to wait on the road for the bus. This is really dangerous and when a family with children and a pushchair were standing in the carriageway waiting for the bus The Lambourn Junction sprang into action. We cut back the vegetation and removed the stones and soil which covered the paved waiting area. All in all a task of only 20 minutes however it makes a real difference and passengers can now wait without having to stand in the road.
At the same time we cleaned out the bus stop further along the road which was also starting to become overgrown.
