With Lambourn Parish Council in the middle of retendering its grass-cutting contract, the churchyard at St Michael and All Angels was in need of a bit of care and attention in the run-up to the Lambourn Open Day on Good Friday.

Fortunately, the Lambourn Shed team (Part of the Lambourn Junction) were more than happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. The group took on the task of cutting the grass around the church, making sure the area looks neat, tidy, and welcoming for visitors. Forgive us if it’s not quite up to the standard of the professionals!

With no contracted groundskeeping service currently in place, it’s a great example of how local volunteers are helping to keep our village looking its best.

If you’d like to be part of this sort of community effort, whether that’s mowing, mending, or just mucking in, the Lambourn Shed is always glad of new hands. To get involved, contact Adrian Watson at shed@lambournjunction.uk
