Hayley Warrick, our Lambourn Community Organiser, represented Lambourn at HACT’s 2026 Community Investment Conference in Birmingham on 21 October. Her attendance was kindly sponsored by SNG.

The conference brought together people working in housing and community investment to share experiences and discuss how communities can thrive. This year’s theme, “Communities in motion: progressing long-term impact”, focused on building partnerships, strengthening trust and supporting lasting improvements for residents.

Hayley gave a presentation about the work of Lambourn Junction and the many community initiatives taking place locally. She spoke about the contribution of residents and volunteers, whose time, ideas and practical support help these activities develop and continue.

The day also offered opportunities to meet people from other organisations, compare experiences and discuss different approaches to community organising. Hayley shared some of Lambourn’s experiences and heard ideas that could be useful as our own activities develop.

“It was good to talk about what we are doing in Lambourn and hear what is working elsewhere. Many communities face similar challenges, and sharing ideas helps us learn from each other,” said Hayley.

Thank you to SNG for making Hayley’s attendance possible and for its continued support for community organising and activities here in Lambourn.
