Just before Christmas, the Lambourn Junction Lunch Club came together for a wonderful festive gathering, marking the season with a traditional Christmas lunch enjoyed by all who attended. Held at the Walwyn Hall, the event captured the warmth and friendliness that define the lunch club throughout the year.

Guests were treated to all the familiar Christmas favourites, with turkey and all the trimmings followed by a classic Christmas pudding. The meal was enjoyed at a relaxed pace, with plenty of conversation and laughter, and a real sense of shared celebration. For many, it was not just about the food but about being together and enjoying the festive spirit in good company.

After lunch, the celebrations continued with a game of bingo, complete with festive prizes. This added an extra layer of fun to the afternoon and was clearly enjoyed by everyone, rounding off the meal with smiles and good humour.

The Lambourn Junction Lunch Club meets every Thursday at 12 o’clock at the Walwyn Hall, offering a free hot meal in a welcoming and friendly setting. The club plays an important role in bringing people together, helping to reduce loneliness and ensuring that everyone has the chance to enjoy good food and social contact.

A huge thanks goes to all the helpers and volunteers who make the lunch club such a success week after week. Their time, care and commitment are what make these gatherings possible, from preparing and serving the meals to creating such a warm and inclusive atmosphere. The Christmas lunch was a perfect example of what can be achieved through community spirit and generosity.
