The Lambourn Youth Junction, a beacon of community engagement, marked a solemn presence at the 2023 Remembrance Day ceremony held at the war memorial in Lambourn. With a sense of reverence, the young participants gathered to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. They approached the memorial with a dignified solemnity that belied their youthful energy.

In a touching display of respect, the young people laid a carefully crafted wreath at the base of the memorial. The wreath, adorned with poppies meticulously crafted by the youth themselves, stood as a symbol of their heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes. The poppies, a poignant reminder of lives lost, were a testament to the club’s commitment to honouring the memory of those who served.

Following the ceremony, the youth proceeded into St Michael and All Angels church for a subsequent service led by the Rev Julie Mintern. The atmosphere within the church resonated with a blend of solemnity and hope, as the young attendees actively participated in prayers and reflections. The entire event left a lasting impact on the Lambourn community, as the Lambourn Youth Junction demonstrated that even the youngest members can contribute to the collective remembrance of the sacrifices made for freedom and peace.
