Lots of children took part, along with plenty of adults, preparing a delicious selection of dishes including mini frittatas, pitta bread pizzas, quesadillas, sweet potato pizza twists, pea guacamole and tasty pasta dishes. The banana, mango and strawberry smoothies, made using the smoothie bike, were another great success!

The aim of the session was to show that preparing fresh, healthy food can be easy, sociable and great fun, and it certainly achieved that. It was wonderful to see families cooking, learning and enjoying the food together.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the session possible, especially Penny Locke for leading the initiative as part of Hungerford Food Community, and Hayley Warrick from Lambourn Junction CIC for helping to organise it.

We are also extremely grateful to Everyone Active for supporting the event by allowing us to use the Lambourn Centre. It is an excellent facility for the village and provided the perfect venue for the session.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and made the event such fun. The feedback was wonderful, and we hope to do it all again!

The next event will be on the 31st October 2pm to 4pm at the Lambourn Sports Club. To reserve a place call Hayley on 01488 505050
