There was plenty to celebrate on Friday as 4LEGS Radio officially opened its wonderful new studio in Great Shefford. Presenters, contributors, supporters and members of the public came together to see the new facilities and wish Chris Capel and the whole 4LEGS team every success in their new home.
Getting there has been a real community effort. The new premises started life as an empty shell and required considerable work before broadcasting could begin. The Lambourn Shed stepped in to help, transforming the space with new floors, ceilings, doors and a host of other improvements. Callum undertook the major task of rewiring the entire studio, bringing the electrical installation up to modern standards.

Members of the 4LEGS team then rolled up their sleeves, installing acoustic treatment and moving in and setting up the broadcasting equipment.
4LEGS has been serving the Lambourn Valley since 2017, providing a genuinely local voice with music, interviews, community news, sport, racing, local events and opportunities for organisations and residents to get involved. The volunteer run station is part of the Lambourn Junction CIC a not for profit company serving the community.
The move was made possible by generous financial and practical support, including Sheepdrove Trust, Greenham Trust and Fort Builders Merchants, together with everyone who contributed time, money and materials.
Congratulations to Chris and the entire team. Here’s to many more years of keeping the Lambourn Valley informed, entertained and connected!
