Are you aged 11 to 17 and keen to have your voice heard on local issues? The new Lambourn Youth Council is looking for 16 young people to join. It is your chance to represent young people, have your say, and gain valuable experience in leadership and governance.

Meetings will be held once a month with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Expect pizza, drinks, and lively discussions on issues that matter to you. Hours spent with the Youth Council can also count toward your Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The Lambourn Youth Council is organised by the Lambourn Junction and supported by Lambourn Parish Council, West Berkshire Council and our local Member of Parliament, Lee Dillon. It will be a youth led council with a real say in local issues. Topics could include youth facilities, environmental concerns, public safety and mental health projects and you’ll help decide how a £9,000 budget is spent in 2025. There’s also funding for trips, including visits to London and other inspiring places.

Interested? Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to shape the future of Lambourn. Put your name forward today with about 20 words explaining why you want to be part of the Youth Council. Applications close on the 10th of January and successful candidates will be invited to the first Youth Council meeting at 6:30pm on the 17th January 2025.
