Lambourn Community Interest Company receives £4400 from Berkshire Community Foundation to support the Lambourn Youth Junction

The money will go towards funding the “Lambourn Youth Junction”, a youth club for Lambourn where young people can meet, socialise, interact, learn and above all have fun. The Lambourn Youth Junction provides a safe and supervised environment for the young people of Lambourn to be themselves.

Anna Field, Founder of the Lambourn Youth Junction, said: “The generous grant from Berkshire Community Foundation will allow us to build out the Youth Junction to serve the young people of Lambourn and the area. We will be able to bring in professional facilitators to run sessions, to purchase sports equipment as well as materials for craft sessions. This really will make a huge difference.”

Jon Yates, CEO of Berkshire Community Foundation, said: “At Berkshire Community Foundation, we work to enable vibrant, caring and resilient communities by directing philanthropic funds towards charities that perform vital functions for local people. We are delighted to support The Lambourn Community Interest Company in its important work and look forward to the positive impact enabled by this grant.”

The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company is a not-for-profit company to encourage, enable and operate community activities in Lambourn and the surrounding area. The company operates the Lambourn Food Bank, The Youth Club, and a number of other community projects.

The Lambourn Youth Junction meets every week on a Tuesday at 6.30pm at the British Legion.
