Christmas is a time of celebration and togetherness, but for some individuals and families it can also be a time of real financial pressure. Extra costs, particularly around food, can make the festive season stressful when money is already tight.

This Christmas, the Lambourn Junction Foodbank helped to ease that pressure by supporting more than 30 local families. Food parcels and Christmas hampers were prepared and distributed across Lambourn and the surrounding area, ensuring help reached people in good time for their Christmas celebrations.
Each hamper was filled with groceries and everyday essentials, alongside festive items to help families enjoy a proper Christmas meal. The hampers were packed into reusable bags, making them both practical and environmentally friendly. For many households, this support made a meaningful difference, allowing them to focus on spending time together rather than worrying about the cost of food.
The Christmas hampers are designed to offer help in a simple and respectful way. They recognise that people can find themselves struggling for many reasons, and that a little extra support at the right time can go a long way. By providing food and essentials, the foodbank helps families get through the festive period with a greater sense of security and dignity.
This work is made possible by the generosity of local supporters and the dedication of volunteers, who give their time to pack and deliver the hampers. Their efforts reflect the strong community spirit within Lambourn and a shared desire to look out for one another, especially at Christmas.
